Odd commercial on ESPN this morning:

http://www.depend.com/guard-your-manhood#home

It's basically 30 seconds of Tony Siragusa babbling about "man stuff" and then eventually holding up a package of Depends.

I knew that was a problem for women, especially after child birth. Didn't know it was siginifcant problem for men. Getting old must really suck.

Just a really bizzare commercial to have squeezed between Sports Center breaks.

Yeah it's more like "guard your ego". Which is the opposite of manly.

Are these for guys who piss themselves?

Yup. Instead of guarding your manhood you are wrapping it in a protective caccoon of pee absorbing effluence.

:D

I was a good distance from the TV and half paying attention while eating breakfast and I thought it was some new kind of sports cup initially.

I believe this is the outcome for guys who fight and win against prostate cancer. They win the war, but, there is tragic loss of control.

For a while. Some manage to get it back. (My uncle was in adult diapers for six months or so after surgery, iirc.)

I just find it odd...google says the average age of prostate cancer is 70 years old. Something like 65% of all cases are 65 and older. I just don't see those guys as the target audience of this commercial.
