my wife almost immediately barfed, but I almost barfed out of pure joy

Really loving Just Cause 2 w/ 3 17'' 1280x1024 monitors. It's ridiculous.

Also played some GTAIV and Mount and blade (FOV messed upthere though)

anything else just a BLAST ? I'm also doing GRID2 which is amazing

Anyway, not much around here about people utilizing this, but I'm totally impressed.

opinions, thoughts?

it is really incredibly immersive

Just Cause 2 with eyefinity sounds amazing.

Grid 2 though... I'm pretty sure they never made a sequel to Grid. Are you by chance referring to DiRT 2? (Both Grid and Dirt are awesome racing games either way).

i actually can't get GRID to work with my logitech wheel but that's another story

the FOV for super widescreen in just cause is pretty fantastic

Add Eve Online to that list. With all the windows of information you need open, it's like Eyefinity was made for that game.

MW:LL is a gorgeous looking mod anyway. Eyefinity would just make me salivate :D

the borders of the monitors just really breaks the immersion imo... not sure i could get past that.

well..I guess considering I'm normally used to gaming on 1 17'' lcd, adding 2 others is just a big bonus especially considering i'm just adding more pixels.
with bezel adjustment it helps considerably

there is still something to be said though about playing on a quality 24">+ LCD though

I don't have enough room on my desk to go from 2 to 3 monitors :(. I'm way too used to playing in windowed mode too (especially in WoW).

It took me a while to stop looking for the breaks, once I did that I was fine.

You only look at the front monitor, just focus like you normally would. I haven't even enabled the special resolutions for bezel adjustment, and my bezels are huge, dont even notice them.

Yup. That's pretty much it. I don't use bezel adjustments either. Only times where you really notice is when a hud is on one of the other monitors. Small price to pay for gaming nirvana.

you really should enable it, it makes it noticeable difference in immersion/streamlining

mainly in FPS games and driving games

WHoa-whoa, I almost barfed at reading that.

Not only do I despise Just Cause 2, but 17" monitors? Man, you doin' eyefinity all wrong! 24" at 1920x1200 or nothin'!

how do you afford all that without a job?

Magic. And I don't have three 24" monitors right now or an eyefinity compatible card right now. (I'm using a 2 and a half year old system that wasn't that high-end when it was new)

I'm running a setup at 4800 * 1200, if the new cards would let me add 2 more monitors I would do it in a heartbeat.
