On my Hercules Game Theater XP disk 1 CD, besides the GTXP driver, there's:

Virtual Ear
Power DVD 3.0
Musicmatch 5.1 Jukebox
Siren Jukebox Xpress
Magix Player Jukebox
Yamaha XG Studio
Kool Karaoke Lite
Acid Xpress

What should I install? What's cool and what's a waste of time? I was hoping there was something that would let me produce MP3 files from analogue audio, but I guess not. Anyway, I want to do some mixing and audio production of microphone audio over music, maybe a collage of music. I'd like to try out any other stuff that's fun and informative. Thanks for your input/help.:D

Virtual ear and power dvd are good to have. Then go download gtxpv410 from hercules' site.

Yo, I'm running 4.10 right now. I installed PowerDVD an hour or two ago and have been watching a DVD for the first time in my life, the last hour or so - the Ken Burns Jazz schtick, which I bought around 6 months ago. Been too busy to watch it.

The PowerDVD was kind of driving me nuts. First of all, it was configured to look for DVD's in my CDRW drive. Figuring out how to reconfigure that was pretty tough. Finally ran my mouse cursor over the Configuration utility thing in the weird interface and that was the ticket. One thing that's driving me nuts is that the tool tips 1/2 the time disappear in less than half a second. That's insane since there's no other way to figure out what's going on in the PowerDVD interface except the Help, but the Help is so stupid. It tells you what something does but it doesn't tell you how to get there. That's a fault I have seen before in software help. They assume (incorrectly) that you are there, whereas there's a real good chance you don't know how to get there in the interface. Really dumb. Any tips very much appreciated by a new PowerDVD user (version 3.0, that came with my Hercules GTXP).
