GTXP equilizer settings

Is it just me, or do most speakers sound much better when the equilizer is enabled on the GTXP sound card? I have a set of Logitech Z560s connected to my sound card, and they sounded rather bad at first - tons of uncontrolled bass, and really muddy, unclear sound. I enabled the equilizer, and they started to sound much better even on flat setting. When I turned the bass down a bit and gave the highs a slight boost, they sounded absolutely amazing. Clear highs, tight bass, good midrange. Kinda like my Grado SR60 headphones, but much louder 🙂

I don't have a GTXP sound card but on my Z560s I had to play with the equalizer to get them to sound right. It has just to much base. 😛 I listen to a lot of classical and well window shacking base isn't what I need.
