Not often I see an OEM part that is actually slightly faster than the standard part, then again, this is likely the 970M.
Is this a laptop card or desktop? I wonder if its possible to buy one. I would buy one just because...
A slightly-crippled 970M? Still a tasty box and the benchmarks peg the 970M and GTX 960 desktop *very* close to each other. :thumbsup:
Price is too steep though... the Dell Alienware Alpha is half the price!
A factory OCd 960 though will outpace the 970M ever so slightly. Reference clocks tend to be way too conservative.
Perhaps, though I wonder as to what, if any sort of power draw the dormant cores use.But for sure, at the same perf level, the 970M is more efficient (perf/w) versus the 960. Due to the 50% extra vram width and 25% more cores.
