I never tried undervolting mine to see what I can get, but I can hit 1150mhz on mine stable with only 1.174v, my ASIC is 69.5%.

1.174V in MSI AB though or per HWInfo64/ GPU-Z? I bet your runs below 1.174V average when at load.

I always assumed whatever the voltage is set to, that is what the card will use when loaded. Now that I know that isn't true, it be nice to see what my card averages during a gaming session. I'll have to test it out.

Ya, let us know. Bitcoin mining is a great way to test this out since it puts the GPU to 99% right away and you can run it minimized while having GPU-Z or HWInfo64 right in front of you. Very simple way to test Vdroop.

Do you think that Nvidia will make opencl performance suffer on gaming cards in the near future? It is one of the reasons I went AMD for the 7980.

These sites are getting samples already wtf ? Gosh seems like yesteraday the new 5xx line came out.

780 is 2 generations ahead. Can you say 16x AA hmmmmmm. I think the GPU is ahead of its time, no game needs that kinda of power right now that the 780 will possibly bring with new fab.

They say in 2015 games will look like Avatar ? yikes,, bunch of goones in blue running around LOL

I think their consumer GPUs will continue to be behind in OpenCL since getting faster compute performance requires dynamic scheduler, etc. If NV can afford it, they could continue to design game-centric lean GPUs since it saves them die space and allows for more competitive performance/watt. If you need strong OpenCL performance, then you have no choice buy to buy an AMD GPU for now. If NV launches GK110, it could be very fast again in compute and games. 8970 should also offer more performance in compute/OpenCL on top of the 7970. Right now it's not a big deal since not many apps use DirectCompute or OpenCL acceleration.
