GTX680's -- go get 'em!

$500? Time to swap out the 7970 in my wishlist for one of these!

Now as far as availability, I'm assuming it will be basically none for at least a month or two, right?

Is EVGA still a reputable nVIDIA partner or is someone else generally better?

Eh, even token competition is better than nothing. These GTX680 cards would be more like $400 if it weren't for AMD's 7970 pricing. I guess we won't see real competition until 28nm wafers are cheaper.

The 7970 is going to have to fall well below $500 at this point, as it's slower and has a worse feature set in most ways. A 7970 at $400 sounds about right.

Oh my. Its true. This is insane. 500$ and faster than the 7970. with this card its just win, win, win, win. i am impressed with nvidia.

The best for reference cards. They just changed their warranty too, making it transferable at resale!

EVGA stands firmly behind its entire product line. Products purchased on or after July 1st, 2011* will have a minimum of a 3 year warranty, registration is optional. The warranty will no longer be non-transferable, and new bonuses will be available for those that do register within 30 days of purchase!

Product warranty covers the product, not the user.
Registration is no longer required for RMAs.
Step-Up and Extended Warranty will be available for all original owners registered with the new global RMA system within 30 days of purchase.
If you move, you can send your product back to your local warranty center no matter what region you purchased it in.
A new Standard Cross-Shipping RMA service is free**.
* Recertified and 1 Year Warranty products are not included.

** A credit card will be required for this service to hold in place until EVGA gets the defective card back.

They are all gone but prices ranged from $499 to $530. Cheapest one was the Asus. They were all stock clock cards.
