GTX580 over my current gtx-480 upgrade questions:

Usage: HTPC environments, 3d Gaming (FPS mostly + FlightSim)

Searching around the webs, the 580 comes to ~ $400 used to as high as $499, new.
How much is my 480 worth today?
Does my 750w psu stand a chance vs the 580?
Last but most important question:
Is it WORTH it, considered coming from a 480 card?

1) PSU is more than fine, the 580 will use LESS power than the 480.
2) In gaming the upgrade is NOT worth it.
3) Your GTX480 isn't worth much since the GTX570 exists which is about equal in performance, uses a lot less power and can be had for ~$300.

- the GTX 580 is a very quiet card compared to the GTX 480

In gaming there is a solid performance increase over the GTX 480 and it is much quieter to boot. If that is important to you, it will make a nice upgrade.

Look on ebay or in the FS/T threads to see what GTX 480s are selling for.
