GTX580 and Thermalright Shaman

Can anyone comment on whether this is a good heatsink for the 580? I;ve just bought a Silverstone FT02 and would LOVE to quiet my 580 now. Is the cooler compat with the 580 out of the box? Which VRM cooler do I need to buy for the 580 since I've read the included VRM coolers aren't enough.

It is compatible with GTX 580. I think you should be fine with the included VRM heatsinks, at least if you're aiming just to quiet it down, not to make it an OC monster. http://www.hardocp.com/article/2011/02/03/thermalright_shaman_gpu_cooler_review/

How secure are the heatsinks with thermal tape? If I move my system around, how likely are these to fall off? Am I better suited to get some thermal epoxy? (and what does it take to REMOVE thermal epoxy?)

Edit: Is the Shaman considered the better option over the Xigmatek Bitfrost?
