So ive got a question regarding my topic..

Intel board. ICS-003 Class B

Im guessing this is the model of my board?

Anyways, the 570 fits, but covers 4 out of 6 SATA ports on my mobo. I have 3 sata cables:

Harddrive
Diskdrive
And another from front of case.

Is the one from the front of the case needed? Is that what controls the power and reset buttons on my tower??

Tower is - Antec 902

I dont think 90 degree sata cables will fit... It is verrrrrry tight.
Also the card covers 4 black ports, leaving 2 red ports. Can i just hook up the hdd and diskdrive?

This is no fun.. Thanks for your advice!

One going to the front of the case is a external sata i believe i owned one and i never hooked up mine just added clutter inside the case.

You can go without them and i'm assuming your using a ide dvd rom drive?

Sorry idont know what an ide is..

But yes its dvd rom.

So the sata cable from the front of case has nothing to do with the power and reset buttons? I can eliminate that?

There are 2 usb ports, audio in, mic in, hdmi (it looks like) and the power+reset

Do you have any other wires connecting from the case? In every case that I've used there were 5-6 little individual wires that I had to hookup to the mobo for pwr/rst/etc.

I usually hook up the external usb adapters on my antec 900 cases, but on my current build I didn't bother.

Yes there are! Hmm

6 wires---

Front panel

Power LED

Hopefully that is relating to the power switch?

I will install everything and see if this works without this sata.

Mind you, i will be connecting to the two red sata ports now.. Not sure if that is going to be a problem.

The sata cable from the front of your case will be for esata, if you find another one it will be for a hot swap hdd. They have nothing to do with your power buttons :D

Boman744, don't start a new thread every time you run into a problem installing this card.
