Your best bang for buck Nvidia Dx11 card right now is a GTX470, it although runs 92C at load, yet is still relatively quiet at that setting. But it's still not totally worth buying one as there are cheaper options...5850 with an OC

But overall it's still not worth it (GTX 470) as the heat it will generate will really effect the system temps as well...Fermi may be Nvidia's failure unless they cut down their prices by $100 at least...

It's loud alright but be glad they don't whine.
I was a member of the 5800 ultra crowd and that thing had a whirring sound all the time that changed pitch and was noticeable from across the room. Even surfing the web you could hear it. It was like the nails on the chalkboard sound that just makes you want to scream at the top of your lungs. About as fun as getting a root canal every time you used your PC.

This is NOTHING compared to that just more wooshing. Only hear it when playing games when most of you have your 2000 watt 7.1 systems cranked or your earspeakers pushing 120dB into your canals.

Folders using GPU are kind of out of luck though.

LOL at the videos and Kyle barking temps out like a robot. 95 sea. 95 sea. Ending test! Two people asked me what the hell are you watching?

You also hear it when using 2 screens as the card hits 90c idle in multi monitor mode.

87°C isn't really a big deal.

I'd like to know what kind of 4890 went up to only 68 degrees on full load...

In the HardOCP video it sounds like the GTX 480 is waiting for tower clearance to take off.
