GTX460 SLI Question

I am looking to get 2 GTX 460 1GB in SLI. I was wondering if you can mix manufacturers and if that would create any problems. I know you cannot mix 1GB with 768MB because they need the same frame buffer size. Between 2 1GB models, would differences in the clocks matter? Like between these two cards on newegg:

I figured you can. What happens when the clocks on the two cards are different? Should you oc one of them to be equal to the other or does it not matter?

Curious -- so would 2 460's in SLI suffer poor minimum frame rates in comparison to a 480? (like 2 5770's in xfire did poorly compared to a 5870 in min fps)

No. My friend has a SLI 460 set up, and it does outperform a single 480. The problem you have to deal with is occasional micro stuttering and things like that. Honestly, for me I barely notice it, so 460 SLI was the route I took. One 480 will be smoother though.
