GTX275 vs 465?

I am wondering around how much better is 465 compare to gtx 275? Newegg is having this deal where if u buy the 465, you got 2 free game for 182 after rebate and + another free game from evga. I am figuring I can sell my 275 for around 150-160 so if i sell those game it equal to free upgrade. But the bottom line is: how much better is it?

overall they are about even but in some rare cases the gtx465 is actually slower than the gtx275. I think you are just wasting time and money upgrading to that card and you will accomplish nothing in the end.

I think 465 pownz the 275 because its a generation change. DX11 also and raw speed it will out perform with its SP's ... thx and gg

please do some actual research before making ridiculous comments. on average the gtx275 is well less than 10% faster so its certainly not worth the hassle.

Given all the work, I wouldn't bother. I have a GTX 275 and I'm sitting this round out and waiting for the next cycle from ATI/Nvidia.

There are starting to be some very good deals on GTX 465s out there ($180-ish) and for that price is a pretty good card. In your case, it wouldn't make any sense.

Me and you both. Sitting good on two 260 SLi. Will hold me until whatever new drops down the road.

I agree. My GTX 460 1GB is about as fast as a GTX 285 so hang on until the next generation of Fermi comes out then upgrade. I'm coming off a 8800GT 512MB so it's a big gain for me but not for you.

Seems that Fermi is less efficient per CUDA core than previous generations of cards.
