Hi all,
I have my PC hooked up to my TV, a sony e50A10 720p LCD RPTV, using vga. To get full screen 1-to-1 pixel mapping, i have to use some custom resolution and timing settings (1224x688 w/ custom timing), and the TVs "zoom" mode.
I used Powerstrip for these settings, and it worked perfectly with my old setup (a geforce 6600gt).
I just upgraded to a GTX260, and now it wont work correctly. I can still choose the settings and res, and it will change to the 1224x688 res, but i cannot select the zoom mode on the TV, so all i get is a small squished screen image.
Now apparently, nvidia cards newer than the 7xxx series are not fully supported by powerstrip... so i expect its not setting the timing correctly, only the resolution.
I have tried messing around with the custom resolution settings in the nvidia control panel, but it either doesnt have enough control, or im doing something wrong, but if i try to enter the same settings it doesnt work at all and i have to restart the PC (or it restarts on its own).
Is there any way to get powerstrip to set the timing correctly with the geforce gtx260?
Are there any other solutions to set custom res/timing and get a full screen image on my TV?
Or should i swap my GTX260 for an ATI radeon HD 4870? does that work properly with powerstrip? (i JUST bought the gtx a few days ago, so i can still return for an exchange at newegg).
any help will be appreciated!
Thanks!
