I don't think it's worth nearly $100 extra over the MSI GTX260, but if you ever want to SLI your videocard, getting the older MSI card might prove troublesome in the future ( the gtx260 has reached eol ).

Lifetime warranty imo is overrated. Do you expect to be using this videocard a lifetime? Or more like 2-3 years ? That's how long most other vendors give warranty. And 90% of the time cards don't even die for 5 years or longer.

The 216 sp's make it a little faster, like 5-10% maybe, $158 vs $250, that's a huge percentual increase in price, for a low increase in performance. If the lifetime warranty is worth that to you, by all means, buy it :)

At this point, I would advise to get a 1GB 4870 only. That being said, if you're going to be overclocking, I'd get a 216 GTX 260, like this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16814130398
If you aren't overclocking, then it's whichever card you fancy (1GB 4870 or GTX260 216, both are under $250), they're both great products.
