GTX260(1920--->what?

I upgraded to a i2500k@4.5GHZ a few months ago and kept my old video card. I don't do much hard core gaming these days but I'd like to turn on all the eye candy/AA/AF at 1900x1200.

I play mostly Starcraft 2, BFBC2, and will be playing the hell out of BF3 when it comes out. What do y'all recommend.

Either a GTX560 or HD6950 would be best value, if your budget is ~$200~$250.

Otherwise, post a budget 😛

Do both of these cards perform similarly overclocked? I read that the GTX560 is an astronomical overclocker but everything in regards to the 6950 keeps pointing in the direction of buying a 2 gig/unlocking (which I'm not going to do).

HD6950 2GB unlocked into a 6970 OR GTX570.

950mhz GTX560 vs. Stock HD6950 1GB

Conclusion: "On the performance front, the Radeon has a slight edge." You really can't lose with either at $200 price level.

A gtx560 at 1000 core = a gtx570 @ 1080p. A gtx570 = a 6970 @ 1080p.
A 6950 unlocked gives you 2.3% more performance than a stock 6950.

You can buy a gtx560 @ a factory 1000 core for 270$ that will be as fast as a gtx570/6970 @ 1080p, but If you can find a gtx570 for less than 300$ that would be my choice. I don't think you can find 6970 for less than 300$.

Gtx560 SOC at a factory 1000 core for 270$.

review vs the gtx570,

or a factory overclocked gtx570(faster than the 6970 @ 1080p) for 290$ AR.

ofcouse you can then, 2x monitors using DVI, and one using mini hdmi to hdmi.

Unless you have a special non-reference (or dual-GPU) card in mind, most consumer cards only support two displays from DVI/HDMI/VGA (even if the backplate has 3 of these output sockets). AMD allows extra displays to be run through DisplayPort outputs.

Before I order the 570. Can i run 3 displays off a single card?

Also anything wrong with this card?

You will need to buy a cheap card to place alongside the 570 to output to the third display. Or use your GTX 260, but a cheap card is better for heat and power management.

Or you could get a 6950 or 6970. You will require an active Displayport to (single link) DVI/HDMI adapter, which should be less than $30. Assuming none of your monitors have a DisplayPort input, in which case you won't need the adapter.
