desperate times call for desprate measures. I worked at a liquor store where a lot of people would bring in stuff trying to sell it for dirt cheap. Being a day or 2 away from getting locked up for not paying a court ticket off or owing a loan shark money or something can lead to people having fire sales. I bought a non stolen $1,400 laptop for $250 cash. Dude needed the money within an hour. Depending on the location CL can be choked full of fire sales. Dunno if this is real, but I've seen far less believable sales go down. I 1st hand say a druggie sell their Mustang which was probably worth about $20k for $1,500. I understand while it's almost always correct the saying "if it's too good to be true..." isn't an absolute.
