You can overheat a PSU NOT a good idea. I would be darn sure you have enough air flow.o_O It looks like you do but I would try to move that sound card up higher if you can.

I'll see if I can prop it up at least to make it more parallel with the PSU to let it breath a little more. Thanks. A busted PSU could kinda suck (as it causes everything in the case to die with it )

Interesting post from kingpin on the 980 Ti KPE

http://kingpincooling.com/forum/showpost.php?p=30385&postcount=18

We will support all:
1st OC bios release will unlock a little something for the mainstream gamers/users that are lazy and don't really wanna overclock or overvolt, but still want the best frame rates "Out of the box". With this first OC bios, the card is at the same perf level of titan-x when comparing clock-clock say 1450mhz to 1450mhz and same mem frequency. Don't think NV will allow that on approved bios tho, so cant ship with that one
]

Same perf at same clocks at Titan X, how is that even possible? My only guess is maybe the OC BIOS unlocks the additional CUDA cores, effectively making it a TX with 6GB VRAM?

My 980Ti is a beast at 1080P.

Fan in auto the card is hot but silent because of the conservative fan profile. Tunning the fan profile in the afterburner the card is still silent but 10C cooler.

1291mhz boost with default fan profile and 1304mhz with tweaked fan profile.

First image is stock 980 Ti Ref
Second is +300/300 on core/mem.
Both with fan @100%
CPU is stock.

^ Thanks for posting. Amazing core clock on that reference Zotac!

Since I went through the same exercise today with my Kill-a-Watt, I'll post my results too:

At Reference:
SCORE
15414 with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 Ti(1x) and Intel Core i7-5820K Processor
Graphics Score 17172
Physics Score 17291
Combined Score 7984
Max Watts: 418W

At +200/400 over reference:
SCORE
17308 with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 Ti(1x) and Intel Core i7-5820K Processor
Graphics Score 19831
Physics Score 17059
Combined Score 8959

Still waiting for Corsair to deliver that effin bracket so I can put some volts to this card! I'm sure I can do it now, but would rather wait until I got a better cooler.

As an FYI, volts are going to put you up against the power limiter very fast. It's not just temperature that you have to worry about. I assume you were pretty close to the power limit, if not over it, at +300MHz.

Jesus those LL Framerate numbers... 980Ti is a beast lol. I hope you guys are having fun with this card and using some DSR if you don't have a 4K screen!
