GTX 980 Video Card

I'm building my first computer. I installed a EVGA GTX 980 video card properly but decided to pull it out quickly so I can install an additional fan on my Noctua NH-D15 cooler. Initially, I opted for a single fan because I thought the second fan wouldn't fit because of the height of my RAM memory modules. However, this isn't going to be a problem.

Installing the video card requires you to open a clip at the rear of the video slot before you seat the video card. I tried to remove the card but I didn't want to force it and potentially break the clip at the back of the card slot. Is there some magic I don't know about in order to remove my video card? Getting at the rear clip looks to be unlikely. Any comments would be appreciated. Thank you.

Push clip down. Lift card up.

You'll have to get to the rear clip if you want the card out. It is a hinge/lever. The GPUs heatsink will restrict access but you can still get to it. Otherwise get something long, narrow and soft (lol!) to push it in if you can't get to it with your fingers (lol again!).

Using the eraser side of the pencil is what comes to my mind.

Some are a push down, some are a push to the left, etc. Use a flash light and a push tool, careful not to push so hard as to scratch anything. You have to pull on the GPU as you release the clip.
