Gtx 950 sli a good idea?

I'd never recommend SLI to anyone. Ever. Get a better single card.

Just check to see if there any local freight forwarders in India that handle small personal packages from the US at low freight rates when compared to FedEx, etc.

No. Nothing like that. Bt I found a used R9 290x for Rs 17000 (the new one comes for 36000) it's 4gb variant. The only down side looks to be the manufacturer ie. Diamond (never heard). Not checked it physically though. I might bring it down to abt 15000. Looked to me like a good deal. Soo what do u think should I contact him or wait.

He has more experience with this model than myself. It can be a bit loud and hot stock, but it seems you can run it a lot cooler, quieter and with a lot less power using the software power control.

How much for a 4GB GTX 960? That might be a better choice for a longer use before you need to buy a second one for SLI. I know I love mine!

R9 290X for a similar price to a 960? No brainer. Even if you underclock the card to 900mhz and undervolt it -100mV, it will smoke any of these cards, especially in DX12. In modern games 290X is 70-80% faster than a 960. Even with your slow CPU, you should net 30-40% over a 960/380.

Plus, if you find yourself wanting more speed later you could buy a better cooler to get more out of it.
