How's this compared to the XFX 270X DD for $130 from bestbuy?
270X is on average
16% faster than a 950 at 1080P but the differences could vary greatly -- ie., if you play Anno 2205, Project CARS, FO4, 950 will do well.
Something to think about is if you have an AMEX, you can add a cheap $1 filler, grab a
$200 GTX960 4GB, use
$25 off $200 AMEX deal, and send the $20 rebate, you end up with a GTX960 4GB for $201 - $25 - $20 = $156.
I still believe a GTX 750ti is still the best budget card out and can be had well under $100
I disagree completely. 750Ti is overhyped and slow. Its performance is horrendous compared to 950/960/370/280/280X. There is no way that saving $25-30 for a 750Ti is worth it. What you save now will cost you greatly in all future games. It's never worth it to save $25-30 to lose 20 fps+ or in some cases almost half the performance when compared to the 950.

Frankly, if someone wants the best budget gaming card in the $100 realm, they are going used HD7950/7970. An overclocked 7970 will be
2X faster than a 750Ti and have 50% more VRAM.
I don't know how anyone can still be recommending 750Ti with 950/R9 270X at $125-130. 750TI = outdated on day 1. Might as well spend a little bit extra.
