GTX 850m -- where are they?

The GTX 850m looks like a perfect low-power GPU for a non-gaming gaming laptop. That is, a $600 -900 laptop that's reasonably thin and light but that can do some decent gaming too.

Despite announcements in March and April, so far Newegg only has 1 laptop with an 850m, a $1200 MSI gaming model.

Is there a chip shortage causing production delays? Manufacturers holding back new models while they clear out old stock? Am I just being too impatient?

Newegg has 2 Acer (750m) models. There are 3 other models at $1020 - 1070 (Gigabyte, Asus, Dell). Last newegg had an Acer 750m (closeout?) for $700 as a shell shocker.

Lenovo has a 2 x 755m SLI model for $840. Asus has a 760 for $1,000.

Edit: Just to be clear, I'm talking basic midrange laptop but with a dedicated GPU -- probably a 15.6" 720p panel, regular keyboard, platter HDD.
