Hey all...looking for some opinions/advice. I'm running an i5-2500k OC'd to 4.5Ghz and a GTX 560. The opportunity has come up that I can sell my card to a friend and upgrade.

I looked at the Tomshardware.com guide on best GPU for the money and was torn between the Radeon 7870 (@ $150 price point) or just go on up to the GTX 760 around $250.

I'm about to start playing BF4, and will probably end up playing Crysis 3 in the near future as well.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

EDIT: I should add I game on a 27" @ 1080p.

you can get a 7950 for that price or cheaper and if overclocking both the 760 and 7950 then the 7950 is the better card.

Agreed with toyota. If you are overclocking then definitely 7950. If you don't care about that, then get the one with the game bundle that appeals to you more.

The 760 is a good card, I can attest to it. Unless you go the E-Bay route finding a good quality 7950 at the 760's price will be hard (regarding fan noise that is if that is a concern for you), though if you can it will overclock higher and perform better overclocked in comparison to the 760.

Stock vs stock the 760 is slightly faster.

If you do decide on the 760, the MSI Gaming, Gigabyte Windforce, or Asus DirectCu are the best, though EVGA's ACX is not bad either.

I went with the 760 because all the user reviews were saying the AMD cards were hotter and louder (and slightly longer even). I have a micro ATX case so I thought it best to go with the 760 instead since it was quieter and cooler and smaller. I'm very happy with it.
