Look what I've got for you freaks out there!

No, I didn't buy any. Just took a picture of it. Guess where I found them? Micro Center!

The price sticker says $199.99. Didn't bother to check for actual price, which is usually lower than the sticker's.

Its supposed to be slower than a 260x.

I checked newegg and you can find a 260x 2gb from sapphire for 120$.

I know this is a newer card, and uses less power...
but theres a big step from 120$ --> 199$.

Yeah... I was hoping this card would be around $100. I know it's just been launched so retail prices might be a bit inflated, but it's definitely not worth more than $100.

This card isn't supposed to be $100. It's a replacement for the 650 Ti Boost, and a competitor to the HD 7850. The R7 265 was launched to compete with it head on.

It will likely be $150. Those microcenter stickers often are way above retail, and then get discounted.

I guess it would depend on the game but close enough. It's definitely slower than the 650 Ti Boost though.

What exactly are you basing that on?

Here's what I based my comment on.

I'm happy to see great 1080p performance pushed even further down under $200. If AMD does end up delivering the powerful Radeon R7 265 at $150 by the end of February, next month's Best Gaming Graphics Cards For The Money column should be an interesting one. Radeon R7 260X cards already selling for $120 shake things up as well. If you want something a little faster than the 260X, though, wait a couple of weeks and see how the sub-$200 space looks leading into March.

They are of course referring to the 750 Ti that they are under NDA on.

I think some leaked benchmarks put it closer to the 650TI regular.

I've seen the leaked benchmarks, and they're almost certainly incorrect. If they were accurate, it would be the first time in history that Nvidia released a replacement product in a new lineup that didn't beat the performance of the previous year's product.

Ex. GTS 450-GTX 550 Ti-GTX 650 Ti
Ex. 260-460-560-660-760
Ex. 280-480-580-680-780

I didnt say it would be slower then the 650TI but the benchmarks put it slower then the 650TI boost.

Right, but if it's faster than the 650 Ti, it's got to be very close to the 650 Ti Boost.

Anyway, we'll find out soon enough. It likely will not be a price-performance leader in any event.

Well the boost was probably 30% faster then the 650TI since it was a 660 core.

both 650 TI and TI boost used the 660 GPU, but with one SMX disabled,
in the 650 TI boost case it kept the same 192bit memory bus and 24 ROPs, the 650 TI was cut down to 128bit / 16 ROPs

also different clocks, and the 650 TI had turbo boost disabled.

I think they are actually referring to the R7 265X, the card the article is about.

If you look closely you can see 750Ti is actually a $250 card, but MC is nice enough to give early adaptors a $50 discount.

But srlsy, there's usually some price gouging on the pre-order/pre-release cards but this is too much. When more cards are available I expect prices around $130-140, just like 650Ti.
