If only i could SLI a 670 with a 690 :'(

Ha, you can see the bottleneck in that system!

670 vs 680 is much closer performance wise, seems reasonable for at least Tri SLI Donny.

Also those cards are loud in the video 🙁

If that's two 690's I feel bad for you because my two 680s get that with the most recent drivers.

a 690 is two 680's sli'ed (and slightly slower, but clock speed doesn't matter with sli) on 1 pcb is why i ask.

No I know, its just that while we've heard of 6990/6970 crossfire, there was never 590/580 SLI. The method with hacked drivers seems like more trouble than its worth, but worth a try 😉

There is some confusion in this thread!
3DMark11 will show two cards when one is in the system. When I put two cards (690s) in a system and run the benchmark it shows 4 cards.
690s can only be SLI'd with another 690. There is only one SEC at the top so a 3 way or 4 way bridge won't work. You could use more than 690 in a system for non sli (compute) tasks but the 590 is better suited (for most things) than that. 😉

I had a 690 about 4 weeks ago, but I sold it. Netted me more in profits than the entire cost of a 670 I bought at the same time. 🙂

It would have been cool if NV unlocked all the voltage controls for 690 to make it unique compared to SLId 670s or 680s.
