GTX 690 - 3 monitors will these work.

So I have 2 monitors with my GTX 690 - one connected with HDMI and one with DVI. I want to add a third monitor, but that monitor only has VGA/DVI ports. Will connecting the third monitor in DVI work? Or will I have to get a display port to DVI adaptor and then connect via DVI (or will that not work either). I can't try the setup out right now, so I am relying in your answers.

i dont forsee there being a problem having 2 monitors connected to dvi ports, should work just fine

Thanks, only reason I asked was because it did not work with my HD 5870 (1xhdmi + 2xdvi)

i havent tried connecting 3 monitors personally, but did have 2 connected via dvi and worked just fine. so i would assume 2xdvi 1xhdmi would be ok. id test it myself but dont have 3 monitors at the min.

600 series will support up to 4 monitor (3 surround and 1 accessories)
500 series will support up to 2 monitor (multi gpu for more than 2 monitor)

as for the display port explanation - that is an amd exclusive - does not apply to nvidia.

thanks for clearing that up. I dont even need 2d surround - just the 3 monitors displaying separately is enough
