GTX 680 SLI 3dmark 11 score (What is expected?)

A wee bit. The upper card is an EVGA SC with +25, +200, the lower card is an EVGA standard with +130, +300. (lower card stays clocked 15-30MHz higher than the upper card)

The lower card seems to actually be the better card, despite costing about 5% less. Luck of the draw.

Great score

The witcher 2 stays locked at 60 fps now. I was able to turn everything except ubersampling on. With 1 card, I had to shut off SSAO, and I had dips in to the mid 40's. Went from an Antec 900 to a Corsair 600t at the same time and added another fan for my radiator on my H50 for push pull. Dropped my proc temp 10C from the new fan, and the better airflow.

since you have no sig, it would be helpful to also say what resolution you are using.

Your graphics score is fine. Very similar to mine. My overall is a bit higher, but that is because of a different CPU.

Does this seem about what it should be? I've never had 2 cards before.

I get a graphics score of ~11,100 with just one overclocked card, so your score looks good.

If you're going to overclock though, there are guys getting ~18k total score with two overclocked cards. I'm sure they get a boost from physics with high overclocks on CPU.

I only have a nehalem, aand it's already running at 4.0Ghz, so I don't really expect anything else there.

Its not going to make much of a difference really. Same 680, same overclock, my 2500K at 4.4GHz gives me a max score around 10400. 2600K at 5.3GHz gives me just over 11000. Not a big difference for 4 more threads and 900MHz lol

Why the hell did you upgrade to IB? All you needed to do was overclock your 930 to 4.2-4.3. You gained 575 points in the graphics score by spending how much? 500 dollars?

Why did YOU buy IB? Or overclock? Why buy a 680? Why do anything?

Because we can 🙂 and its fun.

Yea, if they offer SB-E for the Intel Retail Edge sale this summer, I'm buying. Not at normal prices though lol

Because I felt like it.

I sure didn't buy it for 3dmark, but I remembered this old post and thought I'd compare.

Because it makes sense. "Because we can" is not a reason. If what you're doing doesn't make sense, you've failed...

Nah. If I upgrade to IB, it doesn't make sense for my situation, but I would just for the hell of it. I might keep 680 SLI, which makes no sense at 1080p, but might just because. Differnt strokes, I guess.

why do you have a $300 1200 watt psu for a system that uses well under 300 watts? 😀

Then I would say you failed... But you may not agree 😛
