Hey oh!

I can't wait to get home from work to try it out. :)

The box is HUGE and so is the card!

utahraptor: WOW that's a big box! Keep us informed of how well the card performs.

I am borrowing an air duster can from work to blow out my computer tonight and I will remove the ATI 5870 and replace it with this beast. I am very curious/excited to see what an Intel i5 750 (overclocked to 3.2 GHZ / 4 threads | 3.6 GHZ / 1 thread) can do with it! I plan to buy a 3770K system as soon as the motherboard I want is released, but I want to see what my current system benches to. I plan to reformat the whole thing tonight as well as it really needs it.

Ok, here is an out of the box test run to see if it was stable and I hooked everything up correctly.

More testing and pictures coming later. I want to reformat the PC soon before I get too serious.

Here is one quick test before dinner and yard work... I launched Diablo 3 and turned off vertical sync. Just standing in town the clock holds at 1202 MHz without me adjusting anything or doing any overclocking.

The king of all video cards looks kinda puny next to these modern beasts.

I left one 480 in as a dedicated PhysX card...might be a bit overkill on that front. lol
Also, I had a hell of a time getting it to fit in the case (Antec LanBoy Air) I'm currently using, buyer beware if you're considering it.

Oh...you probably wouldn't be too impressed with my numbers. I'm still on a lowly Xeon W3520. It does clock ok though.

I can dig it,
would appreciate if you benched Unigine at these settings:

tp compare lightning to power edition

That's defaults as installed, I haven't installed Afterburner yet or flipped the bios switch. I may need an updated Heaven version, it's detecting the 480 as the GPU.

Same as above except with everything as high as it will go. I don't think the fans have even ramped up on this thing yet...it is quiet.

lol @ those dudes at the EVGA forum Don. "but the classified sold out so much quicker" LOL I bet the lightning would sell out pretty fast if newegg had only put 2 cards up for sale...
