I just received my shiny evga GTX670, hoping to draw a little less in 2d than my previous gtx580.
Unfortunately, it seems to default to 324MHz in 2d, even with Aero disabled...
Any ideas, in nVidia inspector, I can unlock clocks for P0 performance level and set it it to 50MHz but not sure why it's not the default?
Also how low can I go for max power saving?

I've attached GPUZ for reference.

324Mhz is its lowest default idle mode. It got 3 stages. Full speed, 550Mhz and 324Mhz.

lol, you could have just looked at reviews to see that 324 is the idle clock. and just leave the darn thing alone as it barely sips any power at all at 324. all you are going to do is jack things up trying to lower it to save literally 1 or 2 watts.

Great and good to know, I couldn't find the default 2d clocks in the manual anywhere and it wasn't very clear which clocks were 2d and which were 3d... I'll leave the thing alone then ;)
