i had a plan to buy gtx 670 ftw or any other edition .... gtx 680 was pointless as all you know .. 100$ more expensive and about 5-7% performance gain ....

is there same story ???? GTX 660 is a faster then gtx 580 ....

and it's 100$ cheaper then gtx 670 .... so there is a question .... can gtx 660 ti run BF3 as smooth as gtx 670 ? i know there will be difference in fps .... but will be that difference so big that i will notice some shutter with gtx 660Ti , but with gtx 670 game will be smooth ....

i hope you all understand what i mean :D ! so help me to choose !

GTX 670 or GTX 660 IT for BF3?????

oh and i forgot to say :DDD

i paly at 1080 P

and i plan to use AA !

670 would be better considering next gen games are just around the corner.

I voted for the EVGA 670 FTW because I love mine, but you have ask yourself the question, is the $100-$120 more for the 670 worth the ~+15% in Bf3?

good deal but i hate how Gigabyte cards look :) they perform great i know but not in my taste :D

i forgot to say that i paly on 1080P :)

i know 660 ti has low memory bus ..... 192 bits and only 144 gt/s ... even lower then my old gtx 480 has :D

Either will do, but if you want to maximize everything your best bet is the 670. If I was to upgrade now, that's what I'd pick based on AnandTech's review on the 660 Ti.

I understand that.
The Ftw is a 670 on a 680 Pcd with a crapy cooler.
The Winfforce is a 670 on a 680 pcb with a great cooler..

Following the 670 Volt mod thread the wind force seems to be doing the best out of the 670s.

I don't know about yours but in my case the card is with the fan side pointing down and I can't even see it. I do see the blue PCB though, I wish it had a cover.

well there is a hard question :) when gtx 460 came out it was bomb ! and i bought it ! it was like 220$ :) and was best bang for buck !

GTX 660ti is 300$ .... huh .... it that card will cost 250$ then i will buy it with no doubt :D

but seems like gtx 660 (non ti ) will be like 250$ with 1152 shaders and 192 bits ..... it will be same as 580 as i understand :)

Depends on how much you want to come close to 60 fps and if you want to use MSAA in BF3.

If you are OK with FXAA, save some $ and grab the 660Ti and overclock it.

ah well no .... i forgot to say it :D i will use MSAA 4x .... cause evne with my old gtx 480 i run with FXAA good enough :D

if 660IT can't hande AA ... well then it's pointless for me :)

FTW has reference cooler ... that is right :) but im not OC er so .... good cooling needed for OC in most cases :) as i know gtx ftw on load it's like 70C only ... is not that high temp i guess :)

I run two GTX 670 FTW cards and like them well enough. If I were buying now I'd go with MSi Power Edition but if you can get a good price on the FTW it's a good card.

I'd go for a 670 over a 660ti because above 1080p it will struggle more as the memory bandwidth gets topped out. Also, newer games are only going to get more demanding. Look at Metro 2033 for example of what games going forward will likely require if you want to max out the settings. Sleeping Dogs already hammers GPUs pretty hard with all the effects and AA.

Resolution and monitor setup are your main concerns. If you're running single monitor 1920x1080 with little or no AA then the 660Ti is going to be great for you. If you like heavy AA or multiple monitors then avoid it like the plague.

Even though the 660Ti does well, it doesn't do well enough looking forward. It's a castrated card and any serious gamers right now that wants a graphics card and is willing to spend $300 dollars better be looking forward to the future gen games and the 670 is better for that.

660 Ti is better bang for buck. Just lower some settings enough to have a smooth experience

Overclocking Kepler is sooo easy.. why i point to the Windforce.. Easy 1250mhz at 55c full load.

No voltage tweaks needed.. Download the Gpu Software move the clock offset up and the mem clock up apply it and forget it..

I dont own a Windforce i have a Asus and a Galaxy.. This is my Thoughts after reading Hundreds of pages on OCN Gigabyte did well with kepler.

Honestly, after you stop looking at your FPS counter, you won't know the difference between the two nor will you care. The gaming experience between the two is too small to worry about realistically.

i love my Gigabyte GTX 670 OC, but if i was buying today there's no way i'd pay $100 extra just for 15% extra fps, it makes no sense! i'd go with the 660ti OC from Gigabyte and call it a day!

but can it own AA well ? hm idk ... even 192 GT/s was not so impressive for me :D and now isee 144 GT/s meh .. idk ...

it's hard to choose cause i have 1080P resolution .... cause if i have had 1600P i will go for 670 for sure :D

Battlefield 3
DX11
Ultra mode
4x MSAA enabled
16x AF enabled
HBAO enabled
Level: Operation Swordbreaker

Just remember that this is single player. In multiplayer with a crowded server these FPS numbers will be much lower and the FPS impacted by your CPU quite a bit.

If the Op is looking for 60+fps constant,a single gtx670 can deliver this from my experience with high 1080p with hbao enabled and 4x msaa, keep in mind i tried these settings for those like myself who really enjoy 60+ at all times.

Ultra is playable but i found the dips to the lower 40s at times to be bothersome, but to each his own i say.

Going sli with the gtx670 is a blast and can deliver even at higher then 1080p resolutions, but i would buy a 7950 over a gtx660ti any day myself if budget was a factor and just overclock it.
