What the title says. For 1080p on one monitor which would you guys recommend? I created a thread earlier ruling out the 770, now hopefully it'll be easier to gauge what to do from some hard evidence on which is better price/performance and fps for te games mentioned.

Currently have

650w antec earthwatts
965 phenom ii x4 oc to 3.8 ghz
4gb ddr2
Gigabyte ga-ma790x-ud4p mobo
Evga gtx 560 ti oc'd a tad to 950
150gb hdd
Corsair h60
Wanna play crysis 3 and metro LL mostly max settings 1080 p. of course useless eye candy that is a performance hit can be turned off, not everything MUST be maxed

Or should I upgrade my CPU/Mobo/ram/hdd ? I found i5-3570k + 8 gb crucial + 1tb seagate + z77 asrock extreme 4 = 420 on newegg.

What option will give me best gaming experience for games I mentioned ? Is there a considerable performance gain for stepping up lyo the gtx 670 instead of 760 for maxing out crysis 3 and metro LL ?

1080p maxed settings = GPU bottleneck.

If you get the i5 rig, your old GPU isn't going to do well, maxing out these new games is not happening.

Always for a budget, GPU upgrades provide much more bang. For the price, the 760 is excellent. Put some of the $$ savings down for a future cpu/mb upgrade..

The 670 is a hair faster but not by much. Go with which ever is cheaper.

You will limited by the CPU. So overclock the CPU as much as you can and get the cheaper of the 2 cards you listed.

The 670 is more powerful but.........
the 760 is $250 new. I wouldnt pay much more for a 670 over a 760, i just dont see where its worth almost 100$ more. There may be some used 670s out there you could snag cheap, if you are willing to go with used hardware that is. Otherwise go with the 760, my vote.

As for the CPU, some people will swear you wont notice a gpu upgrade with your CPU. I think more often then not, you will see the performance scaling up. You could always get the new intel system at any time. Right away or after your GPU comes in and you see where you stand. Its really up to you. With a complete new system you will see performance gains for sure. Cant deny that. But you dont have to buy everything at the same time unless you just want to. Thats how i see it.
