Hi, receiving my MSI GTX 670 PE OC tomorrow and I know I need to uninstall old drivers and re install new. (or 314.22 instead of the 320.18)

Going from the GT 545 > GTX 670.

Would I be correcting in saying:

1. Remove Nvidia Graphics Driver 320.18, Experience, HD Audio Driver, Physx system software from control panel.
2. Remove the GT 545, replace with 670 and cables etc.
3.reboot and download the 314.22 drivers and reboot again.

Or do i need to manually search for literally EVERYTHING file/folder with Nvidia in the name?

Oh, and I'd rather not use driver sweeper or anything in safe mode, not keen on that way.

Download the drivers before you uninstall the old ones. That way you can just install them immediately at first boot with your 670.

It's much easier than in the past. Uninstalling them as normal is perfectly fine.

Oh yeah good idea.

Is it JUST the nvidia graphics driver in control panel? or the phyx etc?

I do it the following way

Uninstall Physx first
Uninstall any HD audio, 3D etc drivers next
Uninstall the Nvidia display drivers
Uninstall anything that is left over (likely it will tell you it's already gone and remove it from the list)

I do it this way because I did at one time have problems removing physx when the Nvidia display driver was missing and had to do an over the top install of the correct driver version then remove physx then install the right driver. Weird stuff.

Ok that's nice and simple. I found a guide from someone, had over 40 steps.. registry and everything.

Thanks a lot for the help! Much appreciated.

No problem, the registry cleaning stuff is not necessary any longer. Some people do it anyway.
