Try leaving him a message suggesting u/l the recorded fraps videos. I don't think he's portraying any inaccuracies. The min FPS was the same for both cards 34. Most people would probably drop a setting to get that a little higher, imo.

that is a reason why i don't rush to buy it :) if it really fails with AA too badly .... then i will go for 670 ... it's simple :)

Still waiting for some official 1080p sli numbers, verdict is out that for higher resolutions its the worst route to go period.but i think for 1080p it just might be the cheapest route to sustain 55+ in BF3 as a single gtx670 can still dip into the lower 40s at times.

Better purchase being overclocked 7950 cards but for rock bottom dollar, sli gtx660ti could possibly deliver for 1080p.

Looks like the 660ti goes neck to neck with the 7950 (in BF3).
Both stock refernce designs (both just around avg fps of 60 or so (at 1920x1080 everything ULTRA settings ect).

This is probably why AMD did that new bios thingy trick lol....
they wanted the stock 7950's to beat the 660ti in BF3 (which it then probably does).

But meh... you can manually overclock both.
Question is which performs better once overclocked?

hm ... in some videos it has 18 fps dips wtf .... it's terrible

A single gtx670 with maxed 1080p settings for me usually can tank sometimes in the lower 40s,most times when there is heavy destruction and smoke,or if a tank explodes, some people their minimum is also on top of the t.v station in karkand too i believe.

18 fps dips must be cause this card simply sucks when aa is applied as even my old gtx570 really never dipped that low,so if lucky if sli is used, you may see what 36 fps assuming there is 100% scaling?Purely crap and pathetic for a $299 card, people with the 7950 are gonna preach on today brother if they read about those 18 fps dips......

same here bro :D i got 480 ... it is like 570 you know :) and i got 30-35 dips ...

my verdict is ..... kepler kards are strong at maximum and average fps ... they are beast .. but not so good in minimum :D

670 and 680 are still nice cards ... but 660 Ti looks like idk ... gtx 550ti .... i hope you understand what i mean :D

I don't think any single-GPU this generation can get 60 fps minimums in BF3 with MSAA.

Moonbogg did testing with his 670s in SLI in BF3 Multiplayer and he found that even with 2 GPUs, the bottleneck shifts to the CPU and there was a noticeable performance increase in minimum framerates by going with a 6-core Intel CPU OCed. Even that doesn't fully resolve 60 fps minimum situation in BF3.

The best solution is to disable MSAA in BF3 on single-GPUs in multiplayer and maybe change some settings from Ultra to High. BF3 doesn't really look that much better on Ultra vs. Very High. :)

In general for people coming off OCed 570/480/580, the 660Ti is not really a great performance upgrade and even 670 will probably be only 30% faster. Part of the reason is because Fermi cards already ran BF3 well.

Brandon888, I think you should just overclock the GTX480 for now and wait until GTX700 series. I don't think GTX600 series will give you the performance increase you are looking for for $400-500.
