GTX 660/760 and General questions

Hey I'm thinking about updated my gtx460 to either a 660 or 760. I am going to start trying to play some the pc games like the Batman series, Tomb Raider(newest version). My dell monitor is Ultrasharp 2312HM. The resolution is 1920x1080 (so i guess my game resolution will be 1680x1050).

I have a couple of question

1) For someone like me who doesn't know what all those quality settings do at my resolution does it make a difference whether i get a 660 or 760? The 760 will be 256 bit while the 660 will be 192 bit memory interface. At my resolution and since i wont use ultra high setting will it matter

2) Also if i get a 660 there are ones with 3 gigs of ram and 2 gigs of ram. I know more is usually better but for my usage does it make a difference?
Thanks for any help

what? why would you do that? its always better to run at native resolution on an LCD. and if worse comes to worse then go with 1600x900 not 1680x1050. 1680x1050 is 16:10 and your monitor is 16:9.

go for the 760 if you have the money so you can enjoy better settings now and for the next upcoming games. and again always try and play at your native resolution.

the 2gb vs 3gb debate has been discussed to death. there is no real point in getting a 3gb 660 over the 2gb model for single card use. a 660 or 660 ti is not fast enough to run games at settings that need more than 2gb of vram.

btw please list ALL of your current specs in detail.

Thanks specs now in signature.
The only reason I suggested 1680x150 is because that's the specs i found listed for a pc game lol (shows you how much i know about games)

A someone who is recently coming to the Batman series, are you getting the 1680x1050 thing because it's a default in the video options for the Batman games?

I recently started playing both and despite my native resolution being 1920x1200, the default for Arkham Asylum was set to 1680x1050. It's not like it auto-detected any settings either, I'm presently at max detail w/ 8x MSAA at 1920x1200 and hitting vsync'd 60 fps. It just had some strange defaults...

Always set the game resolution to your monitor, only change it if you have problems.

1) 760 should be a bit faster when it comes out. The 256-bit memory interface shouldn't make a huge difference, but it'll be good to have. If you want to play Tomb Raider, you'll want the fastest card you can afford (that game is actually graphically intensive). Consider a 670 or a 7950 if it's in your price-range.

2) 2GB of RAM is fine for now. 3GB is only needed for certain games, or if you get higher-end cards.
