Gtx 580 Over new 660ti?

I'm pretty set on the 580 considering im getting it for a little cheaper than a new 660ti. I just want to solidfy my purchase in knowing this is the optimal route. Or is the new tech just that good? Thanks again!

16gb ram

You didn't mention that lol it is a pretty good card and it will be faster than a 660 Ti.

For $350 you can easily get a 7950 and sometimes even 7970.
