GTX 570 - Cant choice 3D with DVI Dual link

Hello,

I bought a 3D screen ( Samsung S23A700D )
I had 24Hz limit with 3D 1080p using HDMI...
So i switched to DVI Dual link, to be able to get 60Hz 3D 1080P , and ofcourse 120Hz 2D.

I was able to get 120Hz with DVI and its working great, but i cant choice 3D resolution from the Nvidia control panel anymore, why ? they disappeared from the list after switching to DVI ...

Am i missing something here?

Thanks

When you're using a DVI cable with 3D, all you have to do is enable Stereoscopic vision (can't remember the exact name, not looking at it right now) and it will work off the refresh rate you specify for 2D in the control panel. You can also change the refresh rate in game if the game allows it. Just as long as you pick 100hz or higher.

When you're using a HDMI cable I believe it switches to 3DTV Play or whatever it's called, I've only used it on my plasma tv and it's kind of necessary on a TV to be able to pick seperate 2D and 3D resolutions/refresh rates. I couldn't stand 1080p/48hz on my TV, had to drop back to 720/60hz. But I liked keeping the standard desktop at 1080p. Not really an issue with a 120hz screen though, hence why the option isn't there.

nVidia 3D Vision only works with:
1. Any HDMI 1.4a monitor/TV/projector.
2. A 3D Vision monitor/TV/projector.

Nothing else will work.
