Hi,
Just tried testing out an old GTX 570 (using an AMD HD 5870 prior). Went through the usual of uninstalling the AMD drivers, installing the Geforce GTX 570, and updating with the Nvidia drivers (latest ones).
When booting up, I can surf windows, browse the web, etc. However, when I launch a 3d game like CS:GO or Diablo 3, the launcher goes through and then the screen goes to black and I have to restart the machine.
I tried reinstalling with an older Nvidia driver (314.22) but that doesn't work either. I know that the computer is still running because I ran itunes and played music while launching the game, and the music still plays.
Is there any solution for this? Or is the card DOA?
