Hi guys, I just registered to get some advice from you guys....i have a msi gtx560 card..and saga 550 psu....its been 8 months since the date of purchase..all of a sudden I started getting bsod..i can't even boot into the os in normal mode...so I placed the card for replacement and got another card which doesn't seem like a new card...the card was fine for an hour..i formatted and installed a new copy of os played a game and put it to sleep and all of a sudden the problem is back...i know the psu's not the problem...So plz guys give me a solution..this problem is very frustrating.....

iDisk, BSOD is driver issues, not PSU, however different card and new install sounds like something else, do you have any other hardware you can't disconnect to check?

I did the ram...the thing is it ran well for an hour and I put it to sleep...then the screen went black I restarted it and the problem is back.
...i even tried 5 to 6 diff bios versions..

Bcoz I have been using for months and also the new ran well for an hour or two I even played crysis 2 ....i put it in sleep mode and then it strtd giving bsod again

Give the link to psu please.Looks like a crap psu to me.The card is fine, before returning you the card they test it.

JohnnyGuru doesn't have them listed either.

So its looking to be a generic made in China as cheap as possible to destroy your system as a time bomb POS.

Never buy a power supply without checking for reviews on the model, especially if you live in a place that doesn't have good power.

I have had a serial ata drive not boot on startup before it was a driver issue. That will most certainly cause a crash. Give full system specs. Give us OS you are using. Give us something other that your personal diagnosis which to me is not right. You need to trouble shoot this a little further than between the card and the PSU. That PSU does appear to be of low quality, which could cause your computer to crash if its not supply good voltage too your HDD's. Get the dump file numbers when it crashes again. The BSOD will have a code.

I tested the 1st card in my friends comp..it had a cooler master 700watts psu and the card still crashed...guys listen "the thing that bugs me is,the new card that I got as replacement ran well for some time
.that is for an hour or two..then I put the comp In sleep mode..and again it started crashing"...what can go wrong in such a short time...

^Could be heat related you seeing these crashes after an hour or so. Test the 2nd card in your friends comp too.

Did you check your CPU temps?

Also, if your PSU starts overheating (say after you game for an hour), power delivery can be affected I believe.

What are your CPU, case, and GPU temps?

The gpu temps are idle-40c,,gaming-75c. And the CPu temp while gaming is 67c.
I don't know abt case and psu temp...i will check my card in my friends comp...i think the video ram maybe gone.
But what can do that in just an hour...and I wasn't gaming for an hour..it was idle...

Well, if when you try it, the 2nd card crashes in your friends comp too then I guess you got some bad luck with 2 dead cards. 3rd time lucky!

the screen shows tears and artifacts even at the bios booting screen...any ideas..?:[:[:[
It's been in my experience that if the POST screen is bad, it's the card; more specifically a problem with the memory. I would suggest trying another card and see if that fixes the issue.

I know the card went bad...but even the second card went bad after a few hours..so it's meaningless if the problem is some other part of the system ....even if the psu is bad could it spoil the card in just a few hours....
