I currently have a GTX 480 (yea it's old) and I'm looking for a replacement. The 750ti is relatively cheap. How much of a performance boost (if any) would I get?

Thanks!

The GTX660 is the minimum card that represents an actual upgrade. But for a substantial upgrade, you really need to go to the GTX 760, which is about 33% faster on average.

Though power consumption would drop massively.

You could probably save ~200+ watts on avg when gameing, and better yet around 60watts while idleing.

If you plan on keeping the 750ti for abit, and you can find a buyer for your 480, the power saveings would probably pay for the trade.

Honestly Id rather have a 750ti than a 480, if I got to pick between one or the other, even if its slightly slower.

GTX 480 is about to 15% better than 750Ti. But consumes 4-5x more power.

So would I. Overclock it and make up most/all of the speed difference and still have massively less power usage and heat.

A 760 would be a modest improvement, your CPU is holding you back though.
