I have a tried a few things to get BF3 not to crash on my system (updated drivers, uninstalled realtek driver, disabled onboard sound) and now installed msi afterburner. I turned down my core clock to the stanard out of the box GTX 460 and I noticed something that I dont know if its normal.

Should my GPU temerature and usage spike when loading a new game for BF3 while waiting in the after round page?

It almost always goes up to 99% GPU usage and i guess 99 degrees centigrade? The highest ive seen is 101.

Is this normal or is this card shot? (I plan on building a new PC around black friday so please go easy on my setup)

i've seen my usage spike when loading but temps should never be that high. When was the last time you cleaned that card?

Maybe the after round page doesn't have any frame cap resulting to your card working as hard as possible to push out those frames. Try checking your FPS at the after round page.

What program should I get to check FPS and how could I cap the end round FPS

That will be on my to do list. It's been awhile. just really hard to get to.
