My two cents:
GTX 280 > HD4870 X2 / GTX 260 > HD4870 > HD4850/9800 GTX > 8800 GT > HD3450
Based on paper and rumours of GTX 280 being two times or more faster than 9800GX2.

Yah, I'm looking forward to HD4870 X2 vs. GTX 280

Should be a nice late June/July showdown & also a great time to purchase a graphics card. Just wondering what games besides Crysis will people be taxing these boards with?

..but HD4870 X2 were supposed to arrive late Q3.. not June/July time frame? They were going to hard launch HD4850 GDDR3 and paperlaunch HD4870 at June.

Based on rumors and what not...

GTX 280 > HD4870X2 > GTX 260 > HD4870 > 9800GX2 > HD4850 > 9800GTX > 8800GT

I would think that if you took overclocking, price, more flexible crossfire(includes hybrid crossfire), driver release times, and power consumption the 4800 series would win hands down.

In June

GTX 280 > GTX 260 >>>>>>> HD4870 > HD4850/9800 GTX > 8800 GT > HD3450

In Q3

GTX 280 Ultra > HD8750X2

I know that looks nice and even, but I'm thinking more like:

GTX 280 > HD4870X2 > GTX 260 > 9800GX2 > HD4870 > 9800GTX > HD4850 > 8800GT

i think if ATI could solidly beat the GX2 with a single 4870, they wouldn't be bothering too much with the 4870 X2. I also think in some cases, even the GTX 260 will beat the 4870 X2.
