Hi,
I've got a Corsair 520HX PSU and am thinking of upgrading from the 8800GTS 640 to the GTX 280.
I know the GTX 280 needs one 8 pin and one 6 pin PCI-e power cable. My 520HX has two 6 pin PCI-e adapters. On the NCIX website, it says the eVGA card comes with an adapter that takes two 6 pin adapters and makes one 8 pin adapter.
My question is, since I will need both my 6 pin PCI-e adapters for the 8 pin, can I use two molex adapters to make a 6 pin PCI-e? Is this going to provide enough steady power? I really don't want to upgrade my PSU.
Thanks
