I RMA'd my EVGA GTX 275 FTW and they are sending me back a GTX 465. Besides the DX 11 support and 128 MB of VRAM will there be a noticeable difference in performance?

About the same performance, don't know which is faster, possibly 465 could be like 5-10% faster but I am not sure. Both of them are slightly slower than a 5850 and even the GTX 285 was slower than 5850 so I guess 460 should be faster, as 460 was just like 10% slower

Probably even more so now as this review is over a year old.

When you get it see if there are 10 ram IC's, if there are 10 there is a good chance you can flash it to a GTX 470.

I don't know about that?

It's basically very similar to upgrading to a GTX 460, no? I am guessing quite a few people might have made that particular jump (GTX 275 --> 460), both appear to have some solid overclocking head room. That ~10% lead could turn into ~20%+, and that is a respectable jump for the cost of shipping, IMHO.

I could be wrong though :) I know several people on GTX 260's and that seems to be a solid performer, even today.

http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/318?vs=315 <-- Very rough comparison. Looks like some minimum frame rate improvements + DX11/Tesselation/better compute. People have paid a lot more to upgrade for the same differences, I am willing to wager :)

If it unlocks to a 470, awesome!
