GTX 275 Availability

Does anyone know why GTX 275 based cards are becoming harder and harder to find in stock?
Did they choose to stop making them or what?

I was recently shopping for 275s and noticed the same thing. I'm uninformed, but I'm assuming it's simply a matter of NV not producing enough chips or purposefully withholding them from craphics card vendors.

Interestingly enough, I purchased a GTX275 from a company I'd never heard of (ECS), and received it on Saturday. Now, that product has been deactivated... Strange... and a little worrying!

The cooler included with the thing is badass, and it was slightly OCed for $30 less than a basic EVGA. So far, I've been satisfied.

Yeah, after researching them I discovered that they're a MAJOR OEM distributor. Never heard of their mobos though.

Edit: Does anyone have a good idea on why Newegg would pull this device? Though I've noticed no problems with the card whatsoever, and am blown away by the value, it worries me that it's been deactivated.

Ok, that makes me feel better. I'd heard they were doing so but didn't know it would occur so soon.

I must be behind the times. 🙂

Thanks for the info.
