GTX 260 plus GT 430 in the same PC, compatible?

Looking to hook one of my gaming PCs to a home theater setup for media playback, but I would like a newer card for audio bitstreaming.

Will using a GT 430 for this purpose with the GTX 260 for gaming work?

For obvious reasons I don't expect to be able to SLI or anything like that, just need the HDMI + HD Audio Bitstreaming from a newer card.

Assuming you want to output from the GTS430 to the TV for media playback and game on a different monitor, it should work fine.
You might have to fiddle to make sure audio output is going via the GTS430 in your media playing app but it shouldn't be a problem.

That should work, but if you get a GTS 450 or GTX 460 you can just have one card do it all, and these are basically the same performance as a GTX 260. This would be the simplest solution if your TV is going to display your games as well as the media playback.
