Hi guys,

I just built my rig with the following specs:

AMD Phenom II X4 920 (2.8Ghz)
XFX GeForce GTX 260 Core 216 896MB
4GB DDR2 RAM
500GB Seagate SATA HDD
Win 7 64-bit

I've got this in a Shuttle XPC so I'm not sure about the motherboard.

Anyway, I decided to fire up 3dmark06 and I ended up with the following scores (everything is at stock speed) at the default 1280x1024 res:

3dmark score: 12858
SM2.0: 5236
HDR/SM3.0: 6305
CPU: 3183

Do these seem a bit low to you? The CPU score is understandable since I haven't overclocked it all, but the graphics card just doesn't appear to be working at its full potential. I was looking at other scores online and people average around ~17000. The SMR2.0 score particularly looks unusually low. I know this is just a synthetic benchmark but the discrepancy is just too big.

Any ideas?

Looks about right. 3Dmark06 is mostly CPU limited with today's powerful GPU's. Try 3D Mark Vantage.

Just ran 3DMark Vantage.

3DMark score: 10998
GPU Score: 9101
CPU Score: 29342

I guess it's around average, but I was hoping that gpu score would be slightly higher at stock.

Yeah, I'm not sure what it is. My card should definitely be performing higher than your 4830. Drivers perhaps? I'm using 182.50.

You scored 9101 on the GPU in Vantage. I'd say that is very normal for your system.
