GTX 1050 too much for Core2Quad rig, slight OC to 2.83Ghz, 8GB DDR2, SSD?

So along the same line of questions.. I have a nice older pc with a Q6600, I'm looking for a good used gpu to put in it for around $50.

The 1050, even used, seems a bit more than that so what lesser cards should I be looking at ?

GT 730 GDDR5 1GB or 2GB (more expensive, may not be worth it for 2GB). I picked up a couple mfg refurb units for ~$55 ea.
