Hi guys. I currently have a GTX 750, which is obviously not as good as a GTX 1050. The reason I need something equivalent to a GTX 1050, is because that is what the minimum is for Windows Mixed Reality, and I am planning on getting a headset. I have found some alternatives to it that possibly could perform better than it. One is the EVGA GTX 760 FTW 4gb GDDR5-

It states that the minimum PSU you can use with it is 500w, and I have a 450w high quality EVGA PSU. The rest of my system is very low power as well, my CPU being only 65w. I have checked on PSU calculator, and it says that under full load, adding a GTX 760 to my system will take no more than 380 watts. Will my 450w PSU work with the GTX 760? Is the 760 faster than the 1050 2gb variant? Thanks!

You should be fine.

However, one thing they really point out spec wise for that card is having the 12v rail with 30+ amps.

Also, does you PSU have two 6-pin PCIe connectors required for the card?

Thanks for the response! For one, it does have 35 amps on the 12v rail. Also, my PSU has the required cables for the GPU, which is an 8 pin and a 6 pin, because the card comes with a molex adapter.

They are going to be relatively in the same ballpark performance wise, but only having 2GB of memory will be a hindrance going forward.

Personally I would save up just a little bit more, and get a GTX 1050ti. They are overpriced right now (just about every card is due to miners), but it might be your best bet. Even a used GTX 970 might be an option for you if you can find someone selling theirs at a reasonable price.
