GTS, GTS-V..Only difference is clock speed?

I did a search for the GTS-V and after reading other posts, seems to me the only difference between a normal GeForce2 GTS and the GeForce2 GTS-V is in the clock speed. Can somone verify this for me? I was thinking af getting another card for a backup machine I have and considering that the Visiontek card is cheaper than most GeF2MX's, it seems as a no-brainer to go with that instead of a GeF2MX.

I agree, the GTS-V card is a better choice. I've heard the newer GTS-V models in Newegg's stock are using 5.5 ns ram too...

for the price of the card it runs great. I compared it to my MSI gts and it was only a couple frames behind on medal of honor and that game seems to be killing everybodys FPS. doesnt have its own overclocking utility though so you would have to use powerstrip or something.

yuop...143mhz stock.

i think the previous batch were 5.5ns... most of the ppl are reporting that they get 7ns now.

however, i seem to be having no problems pushign that 7NS chip.

Correct.
166Mhz/333MHz DDR compared to the 143/286MHz DDR of the GTS-V.
Also, the core clockspeed is 175MHz on the GTS-V compared to the 200MHz core clock of the typical GTS.

Thanx everyone for the responses..Looks like GTS-V o/c'ed w/coolbits (I love that little utility) for the backup box to replace the TNT2 M64 (yuck! ) that I have in there now.
