gts 450, time to upgrade?

i currently have one galaxy gts 450. the oc version.
is it time for a major upgrade or would it be cheaper and worth it to buy a second one and sli. the card gets a 7.3 in the windows index. the only thing this card has problems with r shadows. im on a budget but i can afford buying two gtx 550 ti's and sli them but researching them they also only get 7.3 in the windows index. (idk if i should even care about the index). or should i just go for the top and spend more money on a single card. the highest ive found in my price range is a gtx 560 ti.
i really prefer nvidia cards so no amd cards.

my rig is:
amd phenom II 955 x4 oc'ed to 3.8 ghz
msi 750-g55 sli mobo
4gigs of gskill ddr3 1600
i have a 530 watt psu cuurently but im upgrading to a 750 or 850 at the same time as the cards. the psu upgrade is mandatory so i cant skimp on it.
1tb seagate hdd.
all in a CM haf 912 case.

The gtx560ti is the better option. If you get one that overclocks(and most do) it will often be 97% as fast as a gtx570 or 6970. This option also gives you a good upgrade path to a second gtx560ti later.

What resolution are you running? 1600x1050? or 1900x1080?

consider what resolution are you playing, if you're playing at HD resolutions (1080p or higher) the SLI would be a good option; however, a single powerful card is always the better solution because it is always the better choice, less heat, less hassle and always scale 100% on games, compared to dual graphics solutions which requires more driver updating for games to have SLI support...

i run almost everythin in 1920x1080 HD resolution.
so the single gtx 560 ti is better than two gtx 550 ti's.
the gtx 560 ti looks like a good route so far. any suggestions on what brand of video cards i should go with.
also what is better having alot of cuda cores or a faster cloack speed. cuz from wat ive seen the more cuda cores there r on boards the slower the core clock. r those boards able to overclock more?

2 gtx550's would be faster than a gtx560ti, but not by much.
The gtx560ti overclocks very well.

I would grab the PNY XPB-OC2, it comes with a factory 10% overclock @ 900 core and a lifetime warranty with registration for $205AR.
This card would probrobly be just as fast as 2, $220AR, gtx550's out of the box.
And also gives you the option to add another card later.

If you are willing to spend a little extra, I like these 2 models, for their cooling solutions.

look into those two above... I'd go for the MSI of course lols, I love MSI cards other than XFX when they still made cards for Nvidia..
